The National Productivity
Organization (NPO-Pakistan) took the special initiative and put in efforts to
launch the Quality Control Circles (QCC) Secretariat for QCC
Implementation Training cum Consultancy Services in December 2007. The rationale was to develop
the companies/organizations and prepare them to face rapidly changing global
markets and future challenges of global competitiveness.
In Pakistan, the current training gaps that now exist have
reached a critical stage. NPO-Pakistan emphasize on upgrading the soft skills of
the work force, increasing employee/labor productivity and encouraging wage
flexibility. NPO-Pakistan adopted “top down, bottom-up” approach and took
a bold step for generating such training cum consultancy facilities, capacities
and programs to bridge the gaps. NPO-Pakistan’s QCC training cum consultancy
services are helpful to mould our work force to build a strong base on quality
and productivity related issues (with a special focus on productivity, quality,
competitiveness and labor productivity), according to the needs and trends of
the industrial sectors.
Based on the on-job concept, QCC Secretariat at NPO is
providing its services to the selected organizations both from public and
private sectors, as per Application / Registration Form (Need). The scope of
these services is to provide QCC training and guide / advise the industry for
establishing QCCs. An Efficiency Evaluation System has also been inbuilt into
this program in the form of “QCC / Productivity Audits” to measure
the performance of the organizations participating in these programs at
different intervals and to monitor the effectiveness of the training /
implementations and other miscellaneous recommendations by the NPO trainers /
consultants.
