    Business experts here on Wednesday pointed out that customer care is vital to any business, because a satisfied customer leads to profit maximization.

    An educational event on 'Customer Care' was jointly organized by International Finance Corporation (IFC), Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), National Productivity Organization (NPO), SME Business Support Fund and Management Development Institute (MDI).

    A statement issued by NPO said that the aim of the event was to focus on business systems that lead to maximize customers’ satisfaction in a business for profit maximization.

    Main issues were also discussed about the challenges in entrepreneurship while during the workshop SME Toolkit and other online tools related to business management process were also introduced that can be frequently used by a businessman or an entrepreneur.
    International Finance Corporation (IFC) is the member of the World Bank Group and under its auspices it has developed Business Edge (BE) an International range of management training products and services to facilitate owners and managers of small and medium enterprises.

    BE is successfully being rolled out in several countries of Africa, Latin America, Middle East and Asia, where the SMEs are facing typical problems related to lack of capacity building.

    National Productivity Organization (NPO) acquired the partnership of IFC to conduct Business Edge training programs in Pakistan with the objective to improve the overall productivity of SME sector.
    BE has also been successfully used to train staff and SMEs to know their business requirements in the value chain of Corporations such as FMCGs, Pharmaceutical companies, telecom companies and SME clients of banks (such as Standard Chartered Bank, Silk Bank etc).

    IFC is schedule to conduct similar BE training programs in collaboration with their partner organizations.

    Former CEO-NPO, Khawaja Muhammad Yousuf, Director IFC (World Bank), Asim Chishti Majid Shabbir from ICCI, Asad Zaidi CEO MDI and Arsalan Tauqir from SME Business Support Fund also participated the event.
